Long-distance move from Alberta to Nova Scotia

Return of deposti.

This was a total nightmare! James May and Canadian moving lines were to move us from Edson Alberta to Amherst Nova Scotia on Oct 3. 2013. He changed the moving dates 3 times. Finally we had to tell him we couldn't wait any longer as we had to leave. We cancelled and requested a refund. He said give him 2 weeks. Then give him until the end of the month. And then stalled again and again. He wouldn't answer calls or text messages. Because we had to leave the next day we had to hire a company from Edmonton to move our stuff from Edson to Edmonton, which is two hrs away and it cost us $1300 for that. The new moving company we had to hire picked it up in Edmonton. We had to wait for close to a month for our stuff to arrive because that was only when this company was going back east. We had to come up with the extra money for this company without getting any resolve from James May. He lied and lied and lied. I am going to have to sue this company for my money. Complete losers!

Long-distance move from Nova Scotia to Alberta

Good Move Done.

After a comparison review my girlfriend and I chose Canadian Moving Lines to handle our move from Halifax to Fort McMurray. We are extremely glad we did. The movers wrapped our items carefully as most of our items were fragile. It's nice to know that there are movers out there that are totally profesional and handle all personal and family items with complete care and attention. We will not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to family and friends.

Local move within Ontario

Worse Rating Than Poor.

Contract was for 3 men, flat fee. Only 2 men arrived. They broke the contract right off the bat. They complained about how much stuff there was, even though they recd pictures of everything getting moved before hand, the day before. They said they could still do it, but it would take longer. I said I didn't care how long it took, as I had a flat fee, so it would not cost me more. They knew nothing about what I paid or about the contract. They said it would cost me more. They called their boss a few times. I told them it was rude to speak a foreign language in front of me, about me and my move. They removed the truck from my driveway to leave (as per their boss). I called the police. The police came and said its a civil matter. I knew this already, but I wanted a report filed. I had told James I would be suing him. He laughed. He called back and started making absurd accusations. I have witnesses to everything said and done. They left me, a disabled woman. Alone, no house phone working, I don't drive, and i'm single. Very dishonest company. They had even left a message on my machine for a Christine a few days before my move, at midnight trying to explain to her why they didn't show up for her move the day before. Yet it was midnight when they finally tried to call her. James is a rude ignorant man. His language was abusive and offensive and I let him have a good piece of my mind. Lawyers are now involved as well.

Long-distance move from British Columbia to Alberta

Conveniently had 2.

Canadian Moving Lines did not deliver as per written agreement. After receiving payment in full a full 17 days before the pick up, they delayed the pick up by two days from initial agreement due to purportedly "mechanical problems with the truck". The two individuals who came to pick up the goods were hard working and professional. Unfortunately, the company delayed the delivery by a full week, again, due to "truck clutch problems". In conversation with James May, he revealed that they had another pick up in Lethbridge on February 5, 2013. I made it clear that it would be unacceptable to wait an additional 5 days for our goods and that I wanted CML to deliver as close to their promised date of January 28th as possible. CML kept changing the promised delivery date, giving one excuse after another and finally delivered my items in Edmonton on February 3rd, 7 days later and conveniently one day away from their scheduled February 5th pickup in Lethbridge. Be forewarned when the sales person gives you these reasons for delaying your delivery. I recommend you use an honest company for your move. .

Long-distance move from Ontario to British Columbia

Very reliable.

I was very impressed about the company. They were very punctual and my goods arrived in good condition. I can even recommend this company to a friend with confidence because they are reliable and have excellent customer service. The company's charges were far reasonable compared to other companies that I researched online. I had budgeted more than what they charged me.

Long-distance move from Alberta to Yukon

Pat Them on Ghe Back; Good Job.

Where do I start? From the outset I had the confidence that this company would deliver.
The move coordinators, Steve and James were fantastic, they really know how to a move,
I moved to Whitehorse a 4 bedroom, their employees were kind. Careful, overly wrapped my contents lol but that depicted the care and attention. They gave it. I also had my vehicle shipped by them, which went via CN rail and car carried to my home. I was surprised when the moving truck and car carrier arrived on the same day. I was blown away. Canadian Moving Lines is the way to go, no bs just an excellent service.

Long-distance move from British Columbia to Ontario

Horrible service, late delivery and broken items.

Be vary ware of this operation- they are masters of decicit and lies. They do not uphold contracts. they do not follow through with broken and supposidily insured items. They threaten you- tell you your stuff will be left in some radom city unless you give them more money and they also dare you to call authoritys to see what will happen to your things. Very shady!! We did get our belongings 10 days late and we were told by the movers that we were lucky to have gotten it at all. DO NOT hire these fly by night guys if you value service and your stuff. They have a flashy website and write there own positive reviews on these sites-- good luck.

Long-distance move from Alberta to Prince Edward Island

Alberta to P.E.I Family Move.

Thanks so much to the team of Canadian Moving Lines . We couldn't ask for a better move. Nothing was broken and all our items arrived on time as told.  The four young men who arrived at our home were excellent, professional and strong. . What was most remarkable was the fact that they managed to get a very difficult piece of furniture into the upper living  room of our new home. It was touch & go, but they really came through and we couldn't behappier with the service. The cars were delivered earlier than expected. They made our first moving experience an awesome one. You can guarantee that we will use Canadian Moving Lines again for our next move and be happy to make recommendations to our family & friends. Many, many thanks to each of them for their outstanding service, mot especially Janet for ensuring that our move was satisfactory. Best regards, CML..  Andrew & Veronica.

Book, Relax and Move. Best moving company.

These days it is very hard to find good customer service & efficiency anywhere. Canadian Moving Lines not only provides friendly service, but have always been above & beyond my expectations. There has never been a problem with any of my moves or my friends move. Our recent move went smoothly. All we did was relax and everything that was promised was done without our interference. Very reliable moving company. My girlfriend and I were very impressed. In my opinion, Canadian Moving Lines is definitely a highly recommended company for moving!

Long-distance move from Ontario to Quebec

Smith Laval Move.

Our overall experience was very good. The customer service portion was excellent. The customer service representative was competitive with the quote and was even flexible on the moving date. He expedited everything in a timely fashion and was excellent in his follow up.

The pick up was tardy but we did receive a phone call explaining a mechanical issue and the movers were very efficient with the pick up portion and did an excellent job packing the moving truck.
Perhaps the late pick caused problems with the delivery in Laval. The delivery in Laval was late and we were not infrmed, causing an issue with the building superintendent who booked the elevator for 10am. The movers arrived at 2h30.
